FBI issues warning about extremely destructive new malware in wake of attack that allowed millions to download unreleased Sony films including ‘Annie’

The FBI warned US businesses that hackers have used malicious software to launch destructive attacks in the United States, following a devastating cyberattack last week at Sony Pictures Entertainment.

The five-page, confidential ‘flash’ warning issued to businesses late on Monday provided some technical details about the malicious software that was used in the attack.

The Annie remake and Brad Pitt movie Fury are among five features leaked online from Sony that have now been illegally downloaded millions of times. Sony is rumored to believe North Korea may be behind the breach, for which a group called Guardians of Peace has claimed responsibility.

The Cyberattackers warned they could release ‘secrets’ from their servers as actors including Angelina Jolie have allegedly had their data compromised….
